The Iowa Association of Legal Assistants (IALA) consists of eight regions which correspond to Iowa’s eight judicial districts.

IALA was established to serve the educational needs of paralegals in the state of Iowa.

IALA has approximately 300 members.

Active Members in IALA receive a subscription to Legal Assistant Today.

All members of IALA receive The Original Notice, a membership directory/networking resource, scholarship opportunities, placement assistance, and reduced costs at seminars.

IALA sponsors Iowa State Bar Association functions twice yearly and collaborates with the Iowa State Bar Association Legal Assistant Committee regarding issues affecting the paralegal profession.

IALA is affiliated with National Association of Legal
Assistants/Paralegals (NALA).

Members are kept apprised of laws that affect their profession and activities of affiliated associations throughout the country.
