IALA was established to serve the educational needs of paralegals in the state of Iowa.

 

The Iowa Association of Legal Assistants conducts two educational seminars per year. These one-day seminars typically rotate to various areas of the state in order to provide continuing education opportunities for Iowa paralegals/legal assistants. Seminars are general in nature in order to provide a wide array of topics. Members of the Iowa Association of Legal Assistants may attend each of these seminars at a reduced cost. Student members of IALA are provided a certificate yearly for free attendance at one of these seminars.

IALA Fall Seminar

Harrah's Hotel and Casino on Friday, September 17, 2010 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.  Topics and tracks include technology, litigation, and others. New to our seminar format is a specific track for paralegals working for prosecutors.
